Volunteer
and support the 1 in 6 of us with a neurological condition
As a volunteer you will be giving something back to a cause you care passionately about, as well as gaining valuable skills to boost your CV, confidence and sense of achievement.
Our current volunteer roles
Information stand
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 3 hours a week to run an Information Stand in The National Hospital. Volunteers will:
- Set up an information stand with our latest leaflets and merchandise
- Interact with patients and staff, telling them more about the work of The National Brain Appeal.
- Take payments for any merchandise sold on the information stand.
- Support the team by topping up leaflets and newsletters in designated parts of the hospital.
Ad hoc event support
We organise events throughout the year and always needs volunteers to help. You can download our volunteer events calendar here to get a sense of what events we have that you can get involved with. Support can include:
- Being on our cheer team for various sporting challenges
- Supporting at events eg, set up, serving drinks, selling merch, manning a gallery to name but a few.

How to apply
If you’re over 18, and able to commit to a minimum of three hours a week, please fill out the form below.
We ask all potential volunteers to come in for a chat first – to meet the team, discuss the role in more detail and agree a start date and hours per week. We can’t always place volunteers straight away, but we do our very best to find everyone a role that suits them and the charity.
We look forward to hearing from you.
