Celebrate a life
We know how important it is to celebrate the lives of our loved ones. Many people get in touch because they want to make an ‘in memory’ donation. These crucial donations help us support the vital clinical work at The National Hospital and research at The Institute of Neurology.
There are a number of ways you can celebrate a life:
Set up a page in memory
You can create a JustGiving page in memory of your loved one. Family and friends can use this page to share stories and fundraising activities. Choose The National Brain Appeal as your nominated charity and then select In memory. You can use this page to share the story and photos of your loved one with family and friends. Any donations will be sent directly to us.
Take on a challenge or hold a fundraising event
Deciding to sign up to a challenge – whether it’s a walk, run, trek or cycle is a powerful way to acknowledge the impact a loved one has had on your life. You could be brave and take on something that your loved one had a passion for – or had always wanted try themselves. You could throw an event such as a dinner, sporting match or coffee morning to celebrate a life, too. Again, set up a JustGiving page for your challenge or event, making sure to fill in the ‘in memory’ section.
We are only too happy to send you special envelopes if you would prefer to ask friends and family to make a donation instead of flowers at a funeral or memorial service.
