Ambassadors for Innovation

Would you like to donate in a targeted way by investing in pioneering research that could lead to the next breakthrough in the field of neurology?

We would like to invite you to join our growing network of passionate individuals, known as Ambassadors for Innovation, who have real impact on the future for people affected by neurological conditions.

Help turn groundbreaking ideas into real treatments

Commit to donating £2,500 per year, or £209 per month via direct debit, for three consecutive years and you will be part of something amazing by helping us to seed-fund pioneering projects led by world-leading clinicians and researchers in Queen Square. These individuals and teams are in the best possible position to identify techniques and technologies with the potential to transform the treatment, care and diagnosis of neurological conditions.

But, funding for unproven ideas is very hard to come by, however great their potential. The National Brain Appeal’s Innovation Fund provides grants to kick-start research projects that would otherwise struggle to get off the ground. Our grants are in huge demand, with twenty applications for every grant we can award. Read about the projects we have already funded here.

Your commitment

  • We ask that you make a minimum annual donation of £2,500 per year, or £209 per month via direct debit, and commit to donating for three years.
  • Alternatively, if you are a Trust or Foundation looking to fully or partially fund whole projects we would love to hear from you. Projects require funding of between £50,000 and £150,000 with tangible results within 1-3 years. Please contact us if you would like to find out about current project funding opportunities.

Our commitment

  • You will be part of something fantastic, potentially helping to fund the next breakthrough in neurology.
  • You will have the opportunity to meet and hear from the world-leading clinicians and researchers whose projects we fund, by attending events and receiving updates from them on the progress of projects.
  • We will also invite you as VIP guests to all of our charity events including our annual art exhibition, carol concert and ad hoc events like the opening of our Rare Space Garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden.

How to become an Ambassador for Innovation

To find out more about the difference you will make as an Ambassador or to sign up, please contact our Innovation Fund Manager, Jane Ferguson or call our office on 020 3448 4724. We look forward to talking to you!

You can also sign up by clicking on the link below, which will take you through to a digital form. This also gives you the option to donate via direct debit and spread the cost – the minimum monthly donation to become an Ambassador is £209 per month.

One-off gifts: If you are unable to commit to the level of support required to become an Ambassador, we do, of course, welcome one-off gifts to the Innovation Fund. Please make your donation here.
