A rare chance to see and hear award-winning pianist Colin Stone, who is performing in Duke’s Hall at London’s Royal Academy of Music, in aid of The National Brain Appeal.
Colin is a former patient at The National Hospital as well as being a renowned music professor at the Royal Academy. He has been performing around the world since establishing himself in the late 1980s and has also been heard on numerous occasions on BBC Radio Three.
Colin told us, “I have had two operations at Queen Square. The first was in 1992 to remove a spinal tumour, and the second in 2016 to remove a pituitary tumour. Without the first operation I would now be a in a wheelchair, and without the second I would have eventually lost my sight. Thus, my good fortune exists not just in the positive outcomes but in the very existence of this institution and the amazing expertise and dedication of its doctors.”
His fundraising concert will be a wonderful evening and we look forward to seeing you there!
