This fund is open to staff at The National Hospital. Until recently, The National Brain Appeal has mainly supported major capital projects at The National Hospital with long lead times.
The Small Acorns Fund gives front-line staff the chance to apply for funding to fast-track smaller scale projects that will have a big impact and benefit to patients. Previous successful projects have included Mindfulness Training to help staff teach their patients how to manage neuropathic pain, and sexual dysfunction training which enabled a regular clinic to be set up to help affected patients. They might be small changes, but the difference they could make to peoples lives would be enormous.
Our aim is to raise £30,000 a year so we can respond effectively and quickly to projects ranging from £500-£5,000 put forward by staff at The National Hospital.
Please help us by making a donation if you can. You can donate here or text SMAF84 to 70070 (£5 donation).
